Odd Job/Handy Person
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Odd Job Person to assist with general maintenance on a casual basis.
Duties will include painting, decorating, basic DIY and general upkeep to help keep our historic site looking its best.
If you’re practical, have a good eye for detail and enjoy varied work in a stunning setting, we’d love to hear from you!

Historian Volunteers
Do you love history? Are you passionate about sharing your knowledge with others? Do you enjoy educating school children about their local history?
We are looking for Historian Volunteers to join our team! Our Historian Volunteers are essential for sharing our rich history with visitors and school groups. We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals to be involved in education workshops for our school visits and history tours on general open days and on some event days.
What we’re looking for:
Individuals with a passion for history
Confident talking to groups, both adults and children
Able to climb stairs - due to the nature of the building, there are a lot of stairs inside the castle, as well as some mild hills involved when giving tours
Knowledge about Hedingham Castle’s history is not essential, as training will be provided.
