Take part in our Easter Trails including the Enchanted Egg Hunt and Woodland Fairytrail, meet some beautiful birds of prey up close, watch a magical puppet show and make your own puppet to take home, and see medieval knights battle it out in front of the ancient castle!

Join us at the start of the Easter Holidays for Spring Bulb walks around the grounds, as nature springs to life on the estate. Explore the castle and refuel in the tearooms.
All Junior Spring Bulb tickets include a Trails activity sheet which includes a yummy prize once completed.

✨ Enchanted Egg Hunt
The entire Fairytale Kingdom has been locked away inside 15 magical eggs! Hidden around the Hedingham gardens, will you be able to find them all?
🧚♂️ Woodland Fairytrail
At the first signs of spring, those cheeky fairies have returned to dwell in the Valley Walk. We think all ten fairies have nestled back in the woods this year but they are very shy so we can’t be sure! We need super skilled, sharp-eyed explorers to spot them for us - are you up to the challenge?Pricing:

Whilst on holiday, Edie and her daddy find a magical pebble on the beach that can grant you one wish. Can you guess what Edie wished for? Find out in this enchanting performance by Theatrix Arts, featuring songs, music, captivating puppets, changing scenery, and a magic trick or two! Then meet the puppets and create your very own Sand Dragon Puppet in our crafty workshop.
The optional puppet-making workshop takes place after the performance, for a small charge of £1 per child which is payable in cash on the day directly to Theatrix Arts (limit of one puppet per child, cash only).
The performance and workshop are suitable for families and children aged 4+. The puppet show is 40 minutes long and the workshop is approximately 1 hour. This is an indoor seated performance in the Tapestry Room of the castle, which is on the ground floor and fully accessible.

🦉 Eden Falconry will be here holding static displays with their beautiful birds of prey - meet the birds and learn about their natural abilities and habitat.

Step back in time over the Easter Weekend and immerse yourself in the thrill and majesty of medieval jousting at Hedingham Castle, for our first joust of 2025!
Join us for an unforgettable spectacle as the Knights of Middle England take to the field to showcase their skill, courage and chivalry as they battle it out to be proclaimed champion and knight of all knights!
Take part in many medieval pursuits including archery and axe throwing. Visit the Medieval Village and witness authentic crafts of olde including smithing, weaving, flour making and a whole lot more. Eden Falconry will be back flying their beautiful birds of prey and make sure to explore the Castle and grounds to learn all about Hedingham’s 900-year-long history.
Refuel at one of the food stalls, serving a variety of hot and cold fayre, and browse some lovely artisan merchant stalls for a memento of the day. A unique and exciting day out for the whole family!
Gates open at 10am each day, with the first Joust starting at approximately midday and the second Joust starting at approximately 3pm.
